ResponsibilitiesDay to day management, coaching, and leadership for the Program Managers and Engineers supporting the business.
Develops the program management function (PMO), processes, roles, and responsibilities in collaboration with customers, colleagues and the leadership team.
Play a cross-functional leadership role in identifying, designing, and implementing strategic initiatives that impact the business.
Works closely with the leadership team and inter-departmental teams to develop strategy, goals and to define integrated work plans to meet the objectives.
Manage program and project prioritization with the leadership team and customers.
Leads cross-functional program consisting of operation, engineering, and supply chain.
Works with the customers to align processes for effective meeting management, eliciting productive behavior, and team member accountability across teams.
Leads program management teams to define and manage deliverables and timelines, facilitate decision making, and define risk mitigation strategies/contingencies.
Works closely with Operation and Finance and cross-functional program teams to establish program related budgets and resourcing plans and accountable to monitor plans and ensuring adherence to budget.
Leads and facilitates customers meetings at all levels of the organization to ensure cross alignment to business strategy and to manage the execution of plans to meet objectives.
Develops and utilizes key program management tools, processes, and documentation to ensure efficient program planning, execution, monitoring (metrics) and to ensure efficient tracking and reporting.
Owns and manages key program-related reporting and documentation, including monthly reports.
Ensures efficient and effective communications and timely update of program or project related information to customers and management.
Implements best practices, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards by resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing change.
Lead, coordinate and plan new package development activities.
Follow New Product development and introduction processes such as the Phase gate review process to achieve time to market.
Prepare monthly program status updates for management review.
Conduct technical and economical feasibility studies prior to the introduction of new projects.
Effectively interface with other relevant sections, products and support groups to achieve the target set by the superior.
Keep track of market new development trends as well as requirements.
Liaise with suppliers/vendors on material and equipment to meet development requirements.
Provide technical support and manufacturing know-how to product development and NOI team.
Communicate effectively with the team on resolving technical problems and/or breakthroughs in process capability.
Train and provide guidance to subordinates.
As required, hires program management professionals to fulfill the responsibilities of the PMO and provides mentorship to direct reports and others within the organization.
