Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the homestay. Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following homestay standard operating procedures. Continually work towards and support the improvement of maintenance service to guests, other departments, and fellow staff.
To conduct upgrading work of the homestay as required.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized.
Responsible, reliable, independent, and has a sense of urgency.

Able to multitask and work independently with minimum supervision while adhering to homestay Standard Operating Procedures.
Willing to work on shifts, weekends, public holidays, and longer hours.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is a plus.
Skills in plumbing, air-conditioning servicing, troubleshooting, wiring & electrical, painting, and basic carpentry are an advantage.
Fresh graduates or those with experience in a similar role with a good understanding of Bahasa Malaysia/English, both written and oral.
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO:Operations Manager
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
Communicate and work closely with Operations to attend to any defects.
Interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
Prioritize and organize work assignments.
Work under pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
Focus attention on details, speed, and accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
Read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
Perform maintenance activities in guest rooms like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, and repairing all types of hardware and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners/HVAC, and AC ducts.
Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
Operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources to a high degree of quality.
Be available for emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during emergencies.
