Job DescriptionDevelop and implement the HR policies, procedures, Employee Handbook, and strategies aligned to the business objectives.
Support and coordinate with the management team on all people leadership matters, including business change and transformation, forming strong relationships with the management team to challenge and coach in a high-performance environment.
Be responsible for all HR management and development, including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, mentoring, salary and conditions, contracts, training and development, talent management, succession planning, driving performance appraisals, and any other HR-related issues.
Work in partnership on projects to aid continuous improvement and implement improvement programs, such as changes to working practices, organization changes, and business excellence or lean programs.
Monitor, measure, and report on HR issues, opportunities, and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
Keep up to date with HR legislation by researching and attending necessary events, providing suitable interpretation to the management.
Provide insight and recommendations on HR initiatives that can be leveraged to strengthen business results, such as leadership and development programs.
Responsible for the preparation of yearly Manning Guide and HR Budget, ensuring strict compliance.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
Nurture a positive working environment.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Maintain pay plan and benefits program and assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Work closely with the Admin department to develop internal communication mechanisms to ensure opportunities for information sharing with employees.
Facilitate a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and ensure compliance with OH&S Act and Regulations, working directly with the Safety Officer and managers as issues arise.
Liaise with OH&S Committee and Department of Labour as needed.
Ensure employees are provided with appropriate orientation on commencement of employment.
Conduct exit interviews for leaving employees.
Job RequirementsAble to handle the full spectrum of HR, especially payroll, recruitment, attendance checking, and foreign worker management.
Proficiency in HR2000 system is an added advantage.
Must be from a retail background.
