Job DescriptionAs an HR Specialist assisting the HR Business Partner for the Malaysia MU, your primary role is to provide comprehensive support to the HRBP in executing HR strategies and initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in HR initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Supporting talent management processes.
Facilitating employee relations matters.
Contributing to the successful delivery of HR services and solutions.
This role aims to strengthen organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction through effective HR support and strategic partnership with the HRBP and the Johor Plant leadership team.
RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY ACTIVITIES:Compliance Monitoring:
Monitors compliance of local HR policies, procedures and documentation with local regulations and proactively flags issues of non-compliance.
Data Analytics:
Create presentations/FAQs and run Visier reports for HRBP/business requests for data.
Employee Engagement:
Collaborate with COE's to conduct surveys of employees' attitudes/opinions/needs, and implement action plans to improve employee engagement.
Cultural Transformation:
Act as a key contributor to cultural transformation by designing and implementing local plans that align with global initiatives, while providing support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP).
Employee Life Cycle:
Establish a clear understanding of the recruitment needs for the operations and work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit the appropriate talent on a timely basis.
Facilitates the talent review process with the management team and coaches managers in performance reviews.
Assists the HRBP in team development initiatives and organizational processes.
Helps identify employee development needs within the business unit and collaborates with managers to create career and development plans.
Proactively supports the creation of succession plans for critical job positions.
Collaborate closely with the COEs to manage employee relations, including addressing SpeakUp and administering disciplinary actions.
Exit Procedures and Off-boarding:
Manage exit procedures, working with line managers on terminations and coordinating with Payroll.
Complete all off-boarding tasks for departing employees.
Work closely with COE's on matters related to foreign workers' work passes, employment contracts, and repatriation.
Additional Responsibilities:
Attend OPS 1 & OPS 2 meetings.
Deliver practical, value-adding, and on-time solutions to assigned Group HR projects and work activities.
Partner with HR COEs to collaboratively implement HR programs and policies.
Act as a culture champion to promote an environment that prioritizes engagement, continuous improvement, cultural awareness, and high performance, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the associate experience.
QualificationsEducation:Bachelor (Specialization in HR would be an added advantage)
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in HR roles, including exposure to various areas of the HR function.
Strong knowledge of local labor laws and employee relations.
Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with employees at all levels, both at individual and group level.
Proven experience in managing employee relations and resolving complex workplace issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in HR analytics.
Results-oriented with good business acumen and the ability to prioritise.
