Summary /ObjectiveThe HR Generalist include full-cycle recruiting, onboarding and offboarding employees, handling employee relations and conflict resolution, ensuring policy compliance, and handling HR administrative tasksEssential Functions/ Responsibilities.1.
Work with hiring managers and schedule pre-recruiting meetings to be sure all the needs and wants are understood before searching.2.
Source, contact, and research potential passive candidates that might meet the requirements.3.
Schedule phone and in person interviews, gather follow-up information from hiring managers for follow-up to candidates.4.
Interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.5.
Place ads on various social media outlets, websites, etc.6.
When necessary, arrange travel for candidates out of the area to interview, tour, etc.7.
Manage the student/co-op program for all areas, including attendance at job fairs, campus career days, etc.8.
Develop and implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.9.
Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered in HRIS and databases.a.
Monitors HRIS system/dashboards to make sure job functions, job descriptions and req ID's are completedb.
Follows up with manager on changes and missing information.10.
Support all HRIS system needs11.
Manage the end-to-end onboarding processa.
Arranges drug and background check and receives results.b.
Updating new hire PAF as new hire moves through hiring criteria steps.c.
Sends communication email to new hires with onboarding agenda, dress code, parking information and day 1 schedule.d.
Perform new employee orientation12.
Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, employment contract and HR letters.13.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Employment laws, Industrial Relations Act and compliance requirements.14.
Respond to human resources-related inquiries.15.
Assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions including preparing warning letters.16.
Conduct and analyze exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.17.
Monitors and ensure termination dashboard assure all steps are completed for compliance.18.
Adheres to all Samtec Quality Principles and actions*The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position.
*Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.Required Experience1.
3 years in related / similar position2.
Must have great communication skills as this person will be interacting with all levels of the organization.3.
Must have great organizational & Time Management skills.4.
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change very quickly.5.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.6.
Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.Preferred Education:1.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or equivalent/ related technical or equivalent experience.
