We are seeking a skilled HSEQ Lead with a strong background in project management consultancy (PMC) to join our team.
Job responsibilities:
Design and implement emergency preparedness and contingency plans including periodic drill exercises for all types of emergencies.
Ensure that safety standards are maintained and implemented to best practice at all times and continually seek improvements in safety standards.
Ensure construction activities on site are performed in accordance with the required Meinhardt standards and statutory requirements.
Maintain relevant safety records, records, and certificates required for sites.
Ensure the company health and safety are implemented consistently across the organization.
Liaise with governmental agencies in regard to regulatory requirements.
Lead investigations for all types of incidents (medical treatment case, first aid case, restricted work day case, fatality, and potential >RAM 3 near misses and unsafe conditions and actions) and recommend corrective actions effectively preventing the recurrence of the event. This includes having strong reporting and investigation skills.
Facilitate safety training, monitor, and conduct courses as required including evaluation.
Advise Management in all matters pertaining to safety and health including compliance with local legislations on health, safety & environmental.
Conduct/assist in workplace health and safety inspections and audits.
Responsible for the effective implementation and closure of associated corrective/remedial action.
Prepare & provide monthly reporting for review by Associate Director - Regional HSEQ.
Job requirements:
NEBOSH Qualification & DOSH registered Safety & Health Officer.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required for this position, with a strong background in Project Management Consultancy (PMC).
Strong ability to prepare & present reports effectively to various stakeholders.
The role requires a strong skill set in managing a program of works and overseeing contractors across multiple worksites.
Willingness to travel extensively (60% of the time) across Malaysia.
