Responsibilities:Assist in drafting human resource policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines to ensure compliance.
Continually educate employees on company policies (including sexual harassment, appropriate dress, and dos and don'ts).
Responsible for all IR/ER matters, including handling all matters related to disciplinary issues and staff grievances.
Schedule and implement company activities that promote employee engagement with internal committees and submit programs summary report at the end of the session.
Investigate disciplinary issues and grievances and recommend appropriate disciplinary action, including issuing suspensions and/or a show cause letter, a warning letter, and other related disciplinary actions.
Involved in conducting domestic inquiries, including investigating, scheduling the event, identifying the company's witnesses, interviewing witnesses, collecting information and data, identifying the Board of Inquiry, preparing exhibit files, and taking minutes.
Maintain a positive employee relations climate by responding to employees' concerns, addressing issues proactively, and advising management regarding proper company practices.
Advising and monitoring the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) for non-managerial levels.
Deal with government officials related to employee misconduct or reports.
Prepare accurate, timely reports, incident reports, updates, and tracking for management accordingly.
Ensure the budget for IR/ER is within control, and ensure documentation is submitted to payment for release.
Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
Job Requirements:Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
At least four (4) years of experience in a similar position.
Experience in manufacturing environment is a MUST.
Strong organization skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively listen and assist in resolving problems and sound analytical skills.
Good demonstration in Employment Law & related industrial laws.
Ability to exercise substantial discretion and deal with sensitive and confidential information.
A high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, address multiple interruptions and prioritize work.
Will to work at Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang.
