Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is to support Production activities by maintaining, converting, and repairing injection mold tools to ensure production output is aligned and maintained with business requirements.As part of this process, mold cards and handover documents that capture activities undertaken with mold tools must be completed clearly and accurately in a timely manner.Undertake thorough investigative activities to understand the root cause of mold failure, make recommendations in relation to solutions, and undertake remedial activities as necessary.Review any previous Tooling activities to ensure that repeat activities are not undertaken without understanding why this is necessary.Take ownership of the repair/maintenance process ensuring that it is clearly communicated to Supervisor and Inventory control team when spare parts have been consumed in order to maintain a balanced level of spares inventory.When required support the business in relation to the purchase of new mold tooling, attending supplier sites as required to undertake training and input into the Tool "buy off" process.Basic machining capabilities e.g. Milling Lathe, Drill & Grinding.Observe Health and Safety policies at all times.Ensure GMP principles are adhered to at all times. Job Requirements: Diploma with extensive working experience.candidates with lower education background but with vast experience as a Toolmaker will also be considered.Significant and demonstrable minimum 5 years of practical experience working with high cavitation injection mold tooling systems in a high volume manufacturing environment.Knowledge of multiple Hot Runner systems.Experience working in a GMP/regulatory-controlled manufacturing / Tool Shop environment.Highly logical thinking and a creative approach to problem-solving.Attention to detail.Experienced with safe working practices.Experience in the medical device industry.Strong communication skills (written and spoken).Ability to summarize and report effectively.
