Responsibilities:
Assist the CIO in researching emerging technologies, trends, and innovations relevant to SOCOE's strategic objectives.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to gather insights and data necessary for innovation initiatives.
Support the CIO in evaluating and prioritising innovation projects based on their potential impact and feasibility.
Help in the development of business cases and proposals for innovative solutions, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and implementation of innovation projects.
Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing among stakeholders involved in innovation initiatives.
Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, organising events, and maintaining documentation related to innovation projects.
Stay abreast of industry best practices and benchmarks in innovation management and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the organisation.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a senior-level role, preferably in a technology-driven organisation or innovation-focused environment. Familiarity with IT and technology trends, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, data science techniques, and fintech innovations would be advantageous. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex problems and develop creative solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience working with government, multinational corporations, or in an international setting would be advantageous.
Proficiency in project management tools and software applications is a plus.
