Job Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and competent Safety and Health Instructor for training programs under JKKP (Occupational Safety & Health Coordinator). The Safety and Health Instructor will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of health and safety within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety and health, excellent communication skills, and a passion for educating others.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive safety and health training programs tailored to the needs of the organization and its employees.
2. Conduct training sessions on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety regulations.
3. Collaborate with department managers to assess training needs and develop strategies for addressing gaps in knowledge or compliance.
4. Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials, including presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, to engage participants and enhance learning outcomes.
5. Stay current on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in occupational safety and health.
6. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback from participants.
7. Provide individual coaching and support to employees who require additional assistance in understanding safety procedures or protocols.
8. Serve as a resource for employees seeking guidance on safety-related issues or concerns.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies, procedures, and initiatives to minimize risks and promote a safe work environment.
10. Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and completion status for reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. TTT (Train the Trainer).
3. Certified and Competent Safety & Health Officer by JKKP.
4. Proven experience as a safety trainer or instructor in a corporate or industrial setting.
5. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices for workplace safety.
5. Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
7. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
10. Willingness to travel occasionally to deliver training at different locations.
11. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in safety training methodologies.
