It is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical, project-based work related to a student's field of study or career interest.
Internships offer students the opportunity for career exploration, professional development, and skills building.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Service Delivery:Supports transitions and knowledge transfer.
Provides services at expected levels with a clear customer service and escalates exceptions.
Interacts proactively with all functional areas of the AGS FRA to ensure appropriate accounting and financial reporting.
Coordinates with local teams, entity, and in-country team to provide seamless service.
Proactively challenges the Status Quo, making fact-based recommendations.
Corresponds to internal and external inquiries.Manage day-to-day activities (modules to be assigned):
Processing of PO and non-PO invoices.
Attending and resolving inquiries through FinanceNow portal.
Timely resolution of invoices which have price and quantity deviations and follow-ups including debit balances.
Ensuring controls are in place and supporting payment proposal reviews.
Supporting the measurement and delivery of service levels and SLA/KPI targets.
Oversight of Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt and timely clearing.
Providing input for AP accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end closing.
Ensuring alignment with AP policy, SOP, and regulatory requirements.
T&E claims including receipts processing and payment of claims.
Ensuring compliance with policy and performing checks.
Supporting audit and compliance monitoring.Compliance:
Ensures all processes, policies, and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented, in line with Alcon standards and consistent with best practices.
Ensures compliance with Alcon Accounting Manual (AAM), Alcon Financial Controls Manual (AFCM), and regulatory requirements.
Ensures application of agreed Alcon control procedures and actively supports to deliver SOX certification.People Skills:
Actively supports AGS FRA working style by being inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results-driven in alignment with Alcon Values and Behaviors.
