Interacts with and influences management and/or customers on significant issues.**Detailed Description**:Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:- Develops strategies for global inventory management.- Develops, implements, tracks, and reports inventory results for Celestica globally.- Assists in setting the global inventory targets and coordinates solutions to help achieve these targets.- Develops standard inventory reporting approaches with sites and ensure committed plans are in place for days of supply and other inventory management metrics.- Works with sites, CFT's and SCM staff as needed to drive results.- Develops tactical and long-term initiatives covering process improvements, action plans, training and education, deployment of SMI and other inventory flexibility initiatives.- Consolidates weekly and monthly inputs from sites and deals with site reporting issues.- Develops reporting package/ presentation for executive review.- Participates in strategic development sessions with senior SCM Management.- Leads adhoc inventory management related assignments ie SMI database creation, interplant parts sharing.**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**:- Strong knowledge of global business environment and customers' business.- Strong knowledge of global inventory management, production planning, scheduling, material requirements planning and manufacturing control systems.- Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, product builds process, materials being purchased by the department and the engineering change process.- Strong analytical and statistical skills.- Strong negotiation and problem resolution skills.- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.**Physical Demands**:- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.- Occasional overnight travel is required.**Typical Experience**:- Eight plus years of experience**Typical Education**:- Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experiency.- Educational requirements may vary by geography.**Notes**:Celestica is an equal opportunity employer.
