Help Desk & IT Support (Information & Communication Technology)
The roleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled IT Assistant to join our growing team at Chugoku Paints (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor. As an IT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintaining the smooth operation of our company's IT systems and infrastructure. This is a full-time position, offering a variety of responsibilities and opportunities for professional development.
Key responsibilities
Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software, and peripherals
Manage and maintain the company's IT asset inventory, including monitoring equipment and software licenses
Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain data backup and disaster recovery procedures
Provide training and guidance to employees on the use of various IT systems and applications
Identify and recommend improvements to the company's IT infrastructure and processes
Contribute to the development and documentation of IT policies and procedures
What we're looking for
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT support or help desk role
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Proficient in the use of common office software, hardware, and networking technologies
Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with users
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and developments in the IT field
