Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team, a leading manufacturer of FRP/GRP sectional water tanks. As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components. Key Responsibilities: Product Design & Development: Assist in the design and development of mechanical/structural components and systems related to FRP water tanks, ensuring they meet product specifications and quality standards.Technical Calculations: Responsible for the calculations of our Bill of Materials (BOM) according to tank size and customer specifications.3D Modeling & CAD: Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and schematics using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).Prototyping & Testing: Support the creation of prototypes and conduct testing to validate designs and assess performance.Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and to troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.Quality Control: Ensure that products & accessories manufactured meets the in-house quality standards.Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing technical insights to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. Maintain accurate records of design revisions and changes.Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, production staff, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful development and implementation of mechanical solutions. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Experience: 0-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelUnderstanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with basic mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues.Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy in design, calculation and documentation.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications: Internship or hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft ExcelBasic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
