The National Key Account Manager role at Kuehne+Nagel Malaysia is a dynamic opportunity where you'll act as a strategic consultant, understanding customer needs and proposing solutions that foster long-term partnerships, while collaborating with various departments to deliver competitive pricing and services.
Your Role Your primary objective will be to develop existing or new business by coordinating all business development actions + triggering opportunities within your specified vertical for larger accounts at a country level. You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with our current commercial policy while focusing on the following key objectives. Your ResponsibilitiesTo directly manage Key Account(s), in accordance with agreed targets, goals and based on company guidelines, eliciting customer needs and selling KN offer portfolio.
To ensure understanding of all customer organizations and decision making processes.
To negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the business units (BU) and ensure rate sheets are documented and maintained as needed by the BU's
To ensure compliance with the company's sales management processes and systems and ensures correct and timely updates in the customer relationship system (CRM)
To monitor monthly performance against set targets, and ensure that immediate actions are taken in case of deviations (incl. timely / accurate reporting).
To ensure that account plan(s) are in place based on the Key Account Planning Process and template, and are signed off by the respective sales manager.
To effectively hand over and transition new business into operations to ensure that customer requirements and the company's commitments are met.
To conduct regular and structured review sessions with assigned customers including; process for continuous improvement and innovation, review of customer strategy and priorities as well as operational excellence delivery.Your Skills and ExperiencesAt least 5 years of experience in Key Account Management in Logistics/Freight forwarding industry.
Has solid connections, network within the industry and is able to manage stakeholders well.
Able to build leads, pipeline and bring in new businesses at a national level.
