Overview: The Cards Operation Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations related to card products, such as credit cards or debit cards, within a financial institution or a company that issues cards.
This role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of card-related processes, compliance with regulations, and providing strategic direction to optimize card operations.
Job Description: Leads and supervises a team responsible for card operations, managing card transaction processing and reconciliation, oversees card issuance, activation, and deactivation processes.
Collaborates with customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues related to card operations.
Works with IT teams to ensure the reliability and security of card processing systems.
Coordinates with third-party vendors providing card-related services, negotiates contracts and collaborates with external partners to ensure seamless operations.
Works closely with compliance and legal teams to address any regulatory issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, implement and monitor risk management practices related to card operations.
Develops and implements strategies to enhance card operations efficiency, identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Generates and analyses reports related to card operations.
Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
More than 5 years of experience in card operations, excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong understanding of card processing systems, regulations, and industry best practices.
Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of risk management and compliance in the financial industry.
Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the cards and payments sector.
