In this role, you will serve as a Lead in the Service Management function, managing service performance of BAU Operations within service level agreed between IT and Business Users, with primarily focus onbusiness continuity and disaster recovery .
You will play a crucial role in leading the Business Continuity team, managing all disaster recovery activities for the Organization, governing and ensuring all planned business continuity activities are implemented and comply with regulatory requirements.
The Role:
Manage and lead Business Continuity Team, as well as to handle escalations related to the function and meeting the team's KPI/KRI for Business Continuity Management.
Support business development in the field of business continuity, disaster recovery & crisis management.
Perform business impact analyses (BIA) and risk assessments to quantify the impact of a major disruption to the organization's critical processes and to identify threats the organization is exposed to.
Define business continuity strategies based on the results of the business impact analysis and risk assessments and draft business continuity plans (BCPs) in line with the defined strategy; primarily focusing on disaster recovery strategies and plans.
Determine adequate incident response and crisis management structures, including crisis management plan (CMP) and communication guidelines as required.
Prepare, coordinate and conduct the organization's disaster recovery exercises and validation/test in order to enhance the preparedness of an organization to deal with disruptive events, ensuring the RTO (recovery time objectives) and RPO (recovery point objectives) for the organization's systems are met.
Provide Command Center effectiveness and efficiency in enterprise-wide Disaster Recovery technical solutions.
Develop, maintain, and communicate the IT Disaster Recovery policies and standards.
Review disaster recovery approach and procedure, make adjustments to disaster recovery runbook where necessary.
Review organization's major business function's recovery readiness, including reviewing the capability and capacity of recovery systems, oversight on the implementation of the solution and test to ensure DR readiness is in place.
Advocate continuous service improvement to ensure improvement plan is in place to address operational gaps.
Manage the Business Units Business Continuity Coordinators and Disaster Recovery third party vendor relationships.
Manage stakeholders' relationship according to the communication framework established for Service Management.
Conduct disaster recovery post mortem, prepare test report and management reporting on disaster recovery activities for the Organization.
Escalate and mitigate risks of service delivery, and recommend course of action.
Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively share best risk management practices.

The Person:
Strong understanding and practitioner of ITIL processes.
A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree in IT plus work experience of at least 5 years associated with service management and business continuity experience.
Experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Exercise planning and simulation.
Knowledge in data mirroring, backup and restore and experience in various test scenarios are an added advantage.
Preferably have experience in Oracle on Solaris and Red Hat Linux.
Solid understanding of business flows and how various systems interact with one another.
Must possess and display strong verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively translate issues to business impact, and ensure that the appropriate sense of urgency is applied.
Able to remain professional and tactical in stressful situations.
Analytical, intuitive, and a strong problem-solver.
Willing to learn and strive towards excellence in the following fields; crisis and business continuity management, service level management, continuous service improvement and (IT) Resilience.
