Job Responsibilities:
Facilitate risk and safety assessment workshops within the Southeast Asia region.
Conduct formal safety assessments, including quantitative risk assessment, consequence modeling, fire risk assessment studies, and others.
Lead risk workshops such as HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, ALARP, LOPA, SIL classification & verification, Bow tie, PHSER, etc.
Prepare/review safety instrumented function (SIF) summaries based on PHA/LOPA SIL study results.
Prepare/review formal safety assessments (FSA) reports.
Guide teams in modeling software such as Phast, Shell FRED, FLACS, and Flaresim.
Supervise/prepare safety cases and/or safety reports, including Facility Description and Hazard Registers.
Review safety studies reports prepared by senior consultants and ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas standards.
Perform fire protection and safety studies for conceptual, FEED, and detailed design projects.
Lead project activities and deliverables according to the project schedule.
Develop quality proposals for risk and safety assessment studies.
Deliver high-quality technical solutions to meet client expectations.
Other Responsibilities:
Support business development in preparing proposals and marketing BV products and services.
Represent Bureau Veritas at industry events, exhibitions, committees, and work groups.
Provide internal training to engineers to enhance their knowledge and skills in safety studies.
Assign tasks to team members and supervise their progress.
Maintain effective communication with clients throughout project execution.
Foster strong relationships with clients and attend meetings to deliver customized solutions.
Screen project scopes at the beginning of bidding activities.
Job Requirements:
Degree in Chemical Engineering or a Master's in Safety Engineering.
Certification as a Functional Safety Engineer/Professional is an advantage.
Chartered Engineer or professional accreditation preferred.
Minimum 3 years consultancy experience in a similar role.
10-15 years working experience in risk and safety studies for oil and gas, petrochemical industries.
Experience with major operators in the region is valued.
Knowledge of renewable energy and sustainability projects is advantageous.
Familiarity with relevant international standards and local regulations.
Expertise in QRA pipeline and 3D software is highly valued.
Critical Skills & Personal Attributes:
Proven experience in a Risk & Safety Engineering role.
Ability to facilitate Technical Safety Reviews.
Experience in developing AI PSM roadmap and methodologies.
Experience in 3D modeling studies.
Strong ethics and integrity.
Able to lead a team of consultants.

Demonstrated experience in supporting and coaching junior professionals.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize a high volume of work.

The estimated salary range for this position is$120,000 - $180,000 per year , depending on qualifications and experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
