Job Description:
LEGAL ASSOCIATEDrafting and reviewing commercial agreements, contracts and other legal documents.
To assist partners in handling corporate and commercial matters, including listing exercises, investments, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other commercial matters in general.
To conduct legal due diligence exercises.
To attend meetings, to advise and to assist clients with negotiations to conclude transactions.
PUPIL IN CHAMBERSAssist legal associate and partner in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, contracts and other legal documents.
To assist partners in handling corporate and commercial matters.
To attend meetings with legal associate or partner.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Law (for Pupil) and must be admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaysia (for Legal Associate).
Newly admitted to the bar is encouraged to apply (for Legal Associate).
Effective spoken and written communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision (not applicable to Pupil In Chambers position).
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Able to handle matters independently (not applicable to Pupil In Chambers position), proactive and work under pressure.
A team player who is able to work with peers and partners.
