Job Description:
Legal Associate (mainly Banking, Corporate and Conveyancing)
- Preparation and completion of documentation mainly for banking (mainly commercial and corporate), corporate and conveyancing matters
- Preparation of documents for specific commercial transactions and other matters
- Providing advice and support to clients on all matters
- Attending clients on all matters
- Development of client portfolio
- Attending court where necessary
- Working closely with partners where necessary
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience (2 to 3 years or more in banking and conveyancing) is preferred but not imperative
- Desire to make a career in legal practice
- Independent, proactive and effective problem-solving approach
- Interest to keep abreast of the developments in the law
- Good drafting skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Attentive to details
- Ability to keep deadlines for completion of matters
- Ability to adapt to work requirements of the firm
- Adept in the use of computers and online transactions
- Keen interest to learn and attend to matters delegated and to produce results for the matters/tasks assigned
