Job Description:
1) LEGAL ASSOCIATE (LITIGATION (BANKING))Job Descriptions:
To handle banking litigation matters from the commencement of legal proceedings to the completion of execution proceedings.
Conduct legal research and analysis on banking laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
Communicate with clients, external counsel, regulatory agencies, and other parties involved in banking litigation matters.
Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams on regulatory compliance, risk management, and litigation avoidance.
Stay abreast of developments in banking law, litigation trends, and industry best practices.
Provide timely and accurate legal advice and guidance to clients and colleagues.
Assist with case management, including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and meeting deadlines.
Uphold ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of legal practice.
Liaise with the Firm's clients regularly, including attending to correspondence and providing status reports.
Handle multiple tasks and complete assigned tasks within the requisite time frame.
Handle any ad-hoc matters as assigned.
CLERKS (LITIGATION)Job Descriptions:
Guide the team effectively while maintaining strong collaboration and communication.
Assist attorneys with case management, including organizing files, maintaining case calendars, and tracking deadlines.
Prepare and file legal documents in accordance with court rules and procedures.
Coordinate document production and manage the discovery process.
Assist in drafting correspondence, legal memoranda, and other written materials under attorney supervision.
Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation matters.
Assist in scheduling depositions, hearings, and other case-related meetings.
Provide administrative support to attorneys.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the operation of the litigation practice.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Mandatory Requirements:Legal Associate (Litigation (Banking))Admitted to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with a valid practicing certificate for 2025.
Minimum one (1) year of prior experience in banking or general litigation.
Excellent command of both English and the National languages (spoken and written).
Ability to work independently with minimum assistance, ownership-taking, and being a team player.
Good character, attitude, aptitude, soft skills, and communication skills.
Diligent, hardworking, self-driven, and highly motivated.
Must possess own transportation.
Willingness to accomplish assigned tasks and conduct research during weekends and public holidays when necessary.
Clerks (Litigation)Minimum SPM level; higher qualifications are an advantage.
Ability to work independently and expeditiously with minimum supervision.
Good soft skills, diligent, hardworking, and self-driven.
Good command of both National and English languages and good computer skills.
