ResponsibilitiesReview commercial/operational agreements, including but not limited to colocation service agreement, procurement agreement, construction agreement, land purchase/lease agreement, consultancy agreement, and other legal related documents; collaborate with MY local team and HQ team.
Take part in company's claims and litigation/arbitrations, including but not limited to liaising with internal stakeholders and external legal counsels, assisting in collecting evidence, drafting and reviewing related correspondence and internal reporting documents.
Provide timely advice to internal stakeholders on the legal risks and solutions associated with the Company's business and operations.
Monitor and manage all Malaysia entities' compliance with local company laws and regulations.
Attend and liaise with appropriate authorities and regulatory bodies.
Draft and/or support implementation of Company policies including conducting training, as necessary.
RequirementsMinimum qualification of a Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Admission to the Malaysian BAR is required.
Minimum 5 years and above of working experience in both in-house and private practice.
Familiar with the practice of bank guarantee and FIDIC series of contracts and other commonly used international contract templates, specialized in constructions, procurement, and general corporate legal issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to write and review good quality detailed legal documents.
