Job Description:
We are a firm collaborating with an international law firm with 97 domestic branches and 83 member law firms within its global legal service network. As part of YingKe International, our team combines local with global experience to deliver professional services to both local and international clients. Litigation AssociateWe are seeking a dynamic and motivated Litigation Lawyer with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in general litigation and/or arbitration. If you are passionate about litigation and seeking opportunities to grow within an international legal practice, we welcome you to apply and join our dynamic team.
Pupil in ChambersExposure to various areas of law, including litigation, arbitration, and advisory work, with potential opportunities to explore conveyancing, as well as commercial and corporate practice.
Work closely with experienced lawyers on legal research, drafting, and court proceedings.
Ideal for candidates with a recognized law degree and strong research and communication skills, particularly LexisNexis and CLJ.
Corporate/Commercial AssociateProviding Legal Advice on all matters relating to corporate and commercial matters (i.e., Business Advisory, Cross Border Transaction, Intellectual Property, and others).
Drafting agreements and assisting clients with negotiations to conclude transactions (i.e., Joint Venture, Investment, Shareholder, Venture Capitalist, and others).
Attending to all matters related to Corporate Practice, Foreign Direct Investment, and Incorporation of Business.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Litigation AssociateExperience: At least 2 to 3 years of PQE in general litigation, with hands-on trial experience. Preference will be given to candidates who can independently conduct trials without senior supervision.
Skills: Strong drafting and research skills are essential, with a demonstrated history of delivering high-quality legal work.
Work Ethic: A self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills, able to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
Languages: Proficient in both written and spoken English and Malay. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
Bonus Qualities: The following attributes are advantageous but not required: Ability to converse in Mandarin, leadership roles in extracurricular activities, experience in debating or mooting competitions, and a degree or additional qualification in a cross-disciplinary field (e.g., business, technology, engineering) will be considered a valuable asset.
Pupil in ChambersCandidates must hold either a Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or be qualified as Barristers-at-Law. Save for PQE, we require the same qualifications that we seek in a litigation associate, as the role is a stepping stone toward becoming one. Active engagement on social media is an additional advantage and will be considered during the selection process.
Corporate AssociateMinimum 2 years experience in related field.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Able to handle multiple tasks at any given time and to complete tasks entrusted within the requisite time.
Strong command in English (Spoken & Written).
Strong command in Mandarin is an advantage.
Able to work under pressure, committed and meet tight deadlines.
Good working attitude, self-motivated with initiatives and responsibility, also a good team player.
Excellent research skills.
