Venator Asia Sdn Bhd is based at Teluk Kalong Industrial Estate in Kemaman Terengganu. Our Manufacturing Plant is the only producer of Titanium Dioxide pigments in the Asia region. We now have an opportunity for aLogistic Officer .
The role ofLogistic Officerwill be based at our Plant at Teluk Kalong, Kemaman Terengganu.
ResponsibilitiesAll duties are to be carried out at all times in compliance with all Venator Corp. and Venator EHS, business conduct policies and guidelines.
Monitor and expedite the processing and delivery of the purchase orders to ensure timely receipt of goods and services, minimizing supply chain disruptions and delays.
Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order status, resolve delivery issues, and coordinate shipment schedules, fostering positive relationships and optimizing supplier performance.
Plan and coordinate logistic activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure efficient movement of goods from/to suppliers while minimizing costs and maximizing service levels.
Monitor inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and manage stock replenishment to maintain optimal inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and transportation laws, maintaining accurate documentation and records for audit and regulatory purposes.
Evaluate supplier performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement and logistic operations, such as consolidating shipments, negotiating favorable freight rates, or optimizing inventory management practices to achieve cost efficiencies.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks in procurement and logistics operations, such as supply chain disruptions, transportation delays, or quality issues, implementing contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and logistic processes, leveraging technology, automation, and best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain performance.
Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement expediting, logistics coordination, or supply chain management roles.
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain, logistics, or any related field (Additional certifications in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management are advantageous).
Proven track record of effectively managing procurement and logistics activities, resolving issues, and optimizing supply chain operations.
Analytical skills to analyze procurement and logistics data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing procurement and logistics documentation and records.
Understanding of procurement processes, logistic operations, inventory management principles, and supply chain coordination.
Familiarity with import regulations, customs requirements, and transportation laws governing international trade.
Knowledge of supply chain dynamics and cross-functional coordination, including collaboration with stakeholders.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, market conditions, and demands with flexibility to adjust procurement and logistic strategies accordingly.
Commitment to upholding high ethical standards and integrity in all procurement and logistic activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
