About the Role: Brooks is a prominent leader in the semiconductor industry, known for our innovative technology and sustainable solutions. As part of our strategic expansion in Malaysia, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and streamline our supply chain operations and enhance distribution efficiency.
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all logistics operations to support our semiconductor equipment manufacturing processes. Applicants must have a robust background in logistics, ideally within the semiconductor equipment industry, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities. You will develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the overall business objectives, including cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and meeting customer demands.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain delivery operations. Manage and optimize logistics processes for incoming materials, internal flows, and finished goods shipping. Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales departments to forecast demand and ensure timely product availability. Negotiate contracts with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers. Ensure compliance with local, international, and industry-specific regulatory requirements. Monitor logistics performance metrics and implement improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency; analyze logistics data and generate actionable insights Keeping costs within agreed budgets while not compromising on speed and efficiency Lead, train, and develop the logistics team to achieve high performance and alignment with company goals. Work with Supply Chain Management and the Warehouse Team to develop and implement JIT or Kanban replenishment strategies to minimize incoming freight expenses. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or other related field with 7-10 years of experience in logistics management, ideally within the semiconductor or related high-tech, manufacturing industry. At least 3-5 years of experience with LMW reporting and relationships already built with the customs organization.Familiarity with local logistics and freight forwarders. Proven track record of successful logistics strategy and execution Strong understanding of Malaysian and international shipping regulations and compliance standards which involves customs regulations and import/export laws. Proficiency in analysing data to monitor performance, forecast needs, and make informed decisions using advanced logistics software/ERP to manage inventory levels, track shipments, and optimize routes. Understanding budgeting, cost management, and financial factors is essential for making decisions balancing cost with service quality. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
