Logistics Planner

Plan and coordinate logistics operations including arranging transport, storage and delivery. Work closely with logistics team, production and warehouse to ensure trucks are loaded on time. Ensure outbound trucks are scheduled and arrived at appropriate warehouse/customer locations. Report truck delays/issues to appropriate departments. Handle urgent and unexpected situations such as the need to reschedule truck, driver or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent on time delivery. Monitor truck drivers, loads and receivers to ensure dispatch to run as planned. Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck driver) according to availabilities and requirements. Accurately and timely plan and dispatch loads to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability. Coordinate with maintenance of trucks. Source and obtain delivery documents once trucks have completed delivery to verify accuracy of shipment.
