Warehousing, Storage & Distribution (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Warehouse Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our key customer warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient warehouse administration and the effective management of storage, incoming shipments, and deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:Ensure smooth day-to-day warehouse operations, focusing on storage management and the timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
Quality & Productivity Improvement:Continuously enhance standards of quality and productivity to meet both customer and company targets.
Cost Monitoring:Track and manage direct and indirect costs, including packing materials, contractor expenses for cargo handling, and staff overtime.
Asset Protection:Safeguard customer goods and maintain accountability for inventory.
Audit Compliance:Execute scheduled audits in accordance with ISO and customer requirements, ensuring adherence to standards.
Discrepancy Investigation:Investigate and report any product or process discrepancies, implementing necessary improvements.
Manpower Planning & Training:Plan staffing needs and provide training to achieve cost-effectiveness while ensuring high accuracy.
Team Leadership:Lead, manage, and motivate direct reports to foster a productive work environment.
Health & Safety Compliance:Maintain health, safety, cleanliness, and security standards in the warehouse and distribution areas at all times.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial or senior executive role within warehouse operations.
Proven experience in warehouse management practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for presentations, reporting, and data analysis; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
Strong communication skills with demonstrated management and conflict resolution capabilities; self-motivated and ambitious.
High level of integrity and confidentiality, with a commitment to excellence.
Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and thrive under pressure with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work 5.5 days a week.
Valid driving license and own transportation are required.
