Job Responsibilities
Develop best practices and implement routine checks on infrastructure e.g.
electrical, mechanical, fire life safety systems.
Monitor, check and ensure all routine services, preventive, predictive maintenance and calibration to systems and equipment are done correctly and timely as per schedule.
Responsible for plant electrical system, planned, operate, safety precautions and carry out work such as preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and repair maintenance for high voltage transformer, high voltage switch gear, switch room, power generator and building.
Periodically check and ensure all documented specifications are updated.
Manage and supervise contractors in alterations, construction, renovations and repairs of company-wide facility systems.
Ensure that all contractors and vendors on site are aware of and adhere to all company safety procedures/rules and that they signify by signing the proper documentation.
Interface with other departments, contractors and suppliers on all facility related matters.
Assist in the department budget process and audits to ensure that goals are met.
Responsible for effective communications levels and fosters team building.
Responsible for adherence to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
Participate actively and contribute positively in resources conservation programs (power, water and other resources) to ensure operation of all activities confirm to company environmental, health and safety policy.
Evaluate and recommend upgrading in facility equipment including housekeeping building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
Plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of building, equipment and machinery within the plant.
Liaise with local Authorities like BOMBA, DOSH, DOE to ensure all standards and regulations are followed.
Provide leadership in achieving safety goals.
Ensure ongoing safety awareness and ensure that various environmental and safety regulatory requirements are adhered to.
Responsible to develop/maintain facility engineering drawings, operation manual and SOP.
Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
Lead, manage and coach a team of facilities technicians in providing day to day operational support, PM's and undertaking projects.
Conduct subordinate performance appraisals, prepare yearly budget, identify training needs analysis of identified subordinates and monitor KPI achievements.
