MAINTENANCE OFFICER (MANUFACTURING & RETAIL)Maintenance & Handyperson Services (Trades & Services)
Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and retail equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities, including electrical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and other systems critical to operations.
Ensure that retail outlets, production floors, and warehouses are clean, organized, and functioning properly.
Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Support the implementation of safety procedures, equipment inspections, and fire drills.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools for both manufacturing equipment and retail facilities.
Order new supplies or replacement parts as needed, and manage stock levels to avoid downtime.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly, diagnosing issues and determining the most efficient solution.
Liaise with production managers, retail managers, and other staff members to understand maintenance needs and develop action plans.
Assist in the training of junior maintenance staff and other employees on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Technical certifications (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Facilities Management) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within a manufacturing or retail environment.
Experience with machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general facilities maintenance.
Familiarity with building systems, such as fire alarms, security systems, and lighting controls.
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and equipment databases.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle emergency situations.
Attention to detail and ability to track maintenance schedules and tasks.
