Join PwC today for the experience that stays with you.Job Description & SummaryA career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. Our team assists clients with their capital investments, assessing which allowances, incentives and grants are available and identifying which expenditure is qualifying and eligible - covering areas such as Capital Allowances, Reinvestment Allowances, Investment Tax Allowances and Green Incentives.Our team assists clients cutting across all industries, including property developers, manufacturing, retail, hotel and mall operators and energy generation. Our work is client facing and so you will be involved in attending client meetings and undertaking site visits, both throughout Malaysia and also Singapore as our team also services Singapore clients.The team is involved in projects throughout the entire process, including viability and feasibility, all the way through to the construction stage and building completion. You will be involved in meetings, discussions and presentations to various levels in the client organisation, inclusive of the finance, tax, procurement & project teams from the client and also their external contractors and consultants.We are looking to recruit an individual at Manager level with experience of Capital Allowances and Incentives and are keen to hear from people who are passionate about innovation, getting to know a broad range of businesses and having a direct role in growing our Capital Allowances practice.We are particularly focussed on candidates able to support us in:Providing support on capital allowances, reinvestment allowances and other incentives, claim preparation and technical advice, designing and building fixed asset technology solutions, across various sectors from a Capital Allowances and Incentives perspectiveManaging a portfolio of a variety clients and project delivery across thesePreparation of Capital Allowance claims for submission to local tax authorities and assessment and application for various incentives, allowances, regulations and grantsManaging client engagements and developing strong relationships with both our clients and internal stakeholdersPreparing responses to or liaising with local authorities with regard to queries they have on Capital Allowance claims and incentives/grant applications on behalf of our clientsAdvising clients and internal stakeholders on tax technical pointsSupervising juniors undertaking the work and apprising more senior stakeholders of progressHelping to identify and develop new business development opportunities, including involvement in proposing for workWorking collaboratively with a strong team focusRequirementsExperience or qualifications in quantity surveying, valuations or construction technology is welcomed, but not required.Experience of working in a tax environment, preferably in Capital AllowancesExcellent working knowledge of tax incentives and experience in preparing Capital Allowances claimsStrong project management skills – able to manage several live projects at once and plan own workloadExcellent communication skills – the candidate will be expected to be the point of contact on the projects they manage supporting a range of stakeholders including client contacts, colleagues in the team and also in the wider tax practiceCoaching and delegation – the successful candidate will help other Managers and Senior Managers in the team coach and delegate a growing team of associates supporting the Capital Allowances team, helping them grow their technical expertise alongside their soft skillsGood written skills including report writing, technical memo drafting and concise advice notes for sharing with clientsAnalytical skills for numerical analysis of client dataHigh level of integrity and professionalism to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulationsTravel RequirementsUp to 20%Available for Work Visa Sponsorship?YesGovernment Clearance Required?YesFor further information, and to apply, please visit our website via the "Apply" button below.Candidates must be resident in Malaysia, or have the right to work in Malaysia.#J-18808-Ljbffr
