Main Purpose of the Job:
The main purporse of Specialist Manager is to perform credit analysis and assessment based on current internal policy and guideline as well as BNM requirements. Priority to Credit Card Application.
Job Description: Making decisions in Credit Assessment for all the applications submitted by applicants or merchants according to limit authority.Awareness of Market Trend and proposal on the enhancement needEnsure the Quality Assurance in all respective operationDevelop self maintain knowledge in the area of specialization / relevant skills at all timesDeliver good customer services as good role modelsTo perform prudent and sound credit evaluation for loans according to authority limitTo review, recommend and delegate loans application for higher limit authorityTo detect fraudulent applications, tampered/suspicious documents and ensure timely fraud escalation to Fraud Management UnitTo ensure compliance to all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices and code of conduct imposed by the companyEstablised a positive team work oriented environmentClose monitoring and managing key credit approval performance and trending. (e.g: Approval Rate, Credit Processing TAT, submission trend and quality for constructive feedback to business / sales for improvementManage daily application processing arrangement and contribute to process improvement and reengineeringAble to maintain default rate at stipulated target Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CCP) would be an advantage.Minimum 8-10 years of experience in credit analysis, or credit underwriting within the banking or financial services industry.Strong understanding of credit risk methodologies, financial statement analysis, and credit rating systems.Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks (BNM) credit standards.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with stakeholders.Leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a teamIn-depth knowledge of the local banking regulations and compliance requirements, particularly related to credit assessment and risk assessment.
