Responsibilities:Conduct credit review on new credit applications and other proposals involving credit exposures as well as non-performing receivables in accordance with the company's credit policies and guidelines.
Perform in-depth credit evaluation and approve credit applications in accordance with the credit authority given, ensuring any exceptions are escalated to the relevant authority.
Review reports prepared by Senior Associate (SA) and CA, and support/supervise their preparation of credit evaluation reports, analysis of market conditions, economic development, and industry review.
Perform regular updates on industry reviews by the rating/research houses for the reference of Business Units to keep abreast with the fast-changing business landscape and environment.
Conduct joint customer visits with Business Units and Branch visits when necessary.
Formulate, review, and improve credit application processes, policies & guidelines to enhance efficiency of credit approval and effectiveness of credit risk management.
Handle recruitment and training of staff, elevating the department's mid-level capabilities to develop a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Provide coaching and guidance to junior Credit Associates on product knowledge, credit assessment techniques, and company's internal policies and procedures.
The position is equivalent to Manager.
Requirements:Degree in Business Studies, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent with Chartered Banker (CB)/ Associate Chartered Banker (ACB)/ Professional Credit Certification (PCC)/ Certified Credit Professional (CCP) qualification.
Possess at least 8 years of relevant experience in evaluation of commercial/equipment/business loans.
A team player with strong leadership skills, good communication skills, and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, resourceful and attentive to details.
Possess good command of English with a flair for comprehensive report writing.
High self-motivation and able to work independently.
Possess sense of urgency, able to multitask and work under pressure.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
