DescriptionOur APAC Operations team is hiring a Manager for the Regional Supplier Quality functions to join us in Kuala Lumpur/Puchong, Malaysia.
This role is responsible for the throughput and output of the quality assurance related to suppliers in APAC and GLOBAL.
Suppliers include parts supplier from 3 APAC region, Finish Good supplier and Partnership & Maker suppliers.
Provides leadership for APAC supplier quality management and support other function (as needed) such as day-to-day quality assurance verification, new product introduction support and support team to manufacturing problems.
Serves as consultant to supplier quality management and commodity technical and is considered the quality assurance expert within APAC.
Support Steelcase Quality objectives and serves as the customer advocate in Total Supply Chain from our supply base through product development and manufacturing, to our customers.
Analyze, designs, setup & evaluates quality assurance systems, procedures & statistical techniques to support supplier management control.
May conduct training on quality assurance concepts & tools.
Interfaces with all other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality related issues.
Manages directs tactical quality assurance projects.
ResponsibilitiesManage & drive Supplier Quality Management strategy and execution for Steelcase CORE, Finish Good suppliers and Ancillary businesses.
Manage customer complaints from Finish Good suppliers and Ancillary businesses.
Oversee and manage effective communication between Steelcase Operation Excellence team and Finish Good Supplier to achieve the optimum process, product and cost that achieve customer satisfaction and COGS.
Manage Finish Good performance.
Analyze, report and determine improvement opportunities based on previous data tracking.
Oversee and manage effective communication between customer / Steelcase Sales and Acquire business suppliers to achieve the optimum process, product and cost that achieve customer satisfaction and COGS.
Manage Acquire Business supplier performance.
Analyze, report and determine improvement opportunities based on previous data tracking.
Define and update business process SOP in managing Acquire Business.
Actively participate in managing APAC operation plant supplier quality issues and provide direction to plant supplier quality engineers.
Review, track and justify plant execution supplier quality control – 8D, Supplier 4.0 and Supplier 3.0 program via Strategic Metric.
Work collaboratively with assigned Category leadership providing "single point of contact" support for quality matters relating to ancillary business processes.
Review and manage surface material control system in APAC, including new introduction, localization and approval.
Review and manage compliance testing for APAC, including maintaining product LCM compliance test record and database, defining yearly plan compliance product list and style number, arranging compliance schedule and product ordering, managing non-conformity from compliance tests and sharing updates with the global Compliance team.
Manage global and APAC quality improvement projects needs and resources.

Education/ExperienceTechnical or Science Degree.
Eight years quality assurance/engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
