Major Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Being accountable for warehouse management and total logistics solutions to achieve better cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Overseeing Palletizing Division to ensure smooth overall operations.
Interacting with the Customs Department and other statutory organizations (export) to ensure full compliance with total logistics management requirements.
Optimizing available resources in cross-functional activities while enforcing high work standards to enhance cost efficiency, productivity, and foster an efficient work environment.
Instituting safety and security awareness to prevent pilferage and material loss in the warehouse.
Steering a performance-driven team aligned with customer requirements and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure productivity.
Leading a team by retaining, motivating, and developing talent, establishing and executing development plans, identifying learning opportunities, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching, including succession planning.
Undertaking any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior and/or Company.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will have:
At least a Degree/Master/PHD in Supply Chain, Logistics or an equivalent field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain management, distribution methods, global transportation services, and inventory controls management.
Good knowledge of ERP systems is necessary.
Good leadership and problem-solving skills.
Strong people management and communication skills, able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees in the organization.
Good time management, project management, planning, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good multi-tasking skills and able to anticipate numerous assignments simultaneously while maintaining a positive work attitude.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player where frequent collaboration across functional teams is necessary.
Good interpersonal skills and collaboration skills.
Positive thinking and able to work under pressure.
Ability to lead and supervise a small team.
To be based in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
