Responsibilities
Develop and implement automation in mechanical assembly, press shop, metal fabrication, and inspection processes.
Prepare investment documentation, equipment purchases, and installation.
Prepare scope of work and manufacturing automation documentation.
Coordinate manufacturing automation projects.
Data analysis – cycle time study, operation ratio, yield, process data, etc.
Develop systems and layouts that follow lean manufacturing philosophies of one-piece flow and Kanban, with emphasis on mistake proofing.
Lead and direct meetings with other team members and key department functional team members.
Manage tooling, gauge design, and drawings.
Machine setup and troubleshooting.
Provide training and guidance to all employee levels in the operation and maintenance of new equipment.
