Market Researcher

This position is part of the core role of our Corporate Strategy Department to conduct in-depth research from gathering and analysing information from Malaysia and other Asia Pacific countries (namely, India, China, other ASEAN countries and etc.) to support and facilitate the strategic decision-making process of the CEO and the management. 
Job description:



-Collect and compile economic and market data/ intelligence for use in management strategy formulation, reporting to the Japan headquarters, and key internal and external meetings.


-Analyse the collected market data and create materials for various executive meetings, president meetings, and etc.


-Compile company periodic financial data and KPIs, and conduct competitive analysis.


-Summarize and present to the management on the key changes in the company's periodic financial performance and KPIs. 


-Understand political and economic trends and analyse the possible impact on our company's KPIs and prospects.

-Market research experience and at least 3 years of work experience in the financial industry


-Ability to communicate and build good working relationships with relevant stakeholders (internal and external).


-Japanese speaker is added advantage.


-Ability to embrace continuous changes and challenges; handle ad hoc projects and assignments, often to tight deadlines.


-Those who can acquire specialized knowledge 


-Analysis experience using frameworks(e.g. 3C, SWOT, PEST)


-Preferably candidate with experience in formulating management strategies in the Corporate Strategy department (or similar department) and analysing competitors, customers, company and formulating strategies for services and products are added advantage.
