To lead a team of milk runners (material handlers) to manage production floor inventory for kitted parts, floor stock, and small tools.
To manage floor inventory to continue supply vs demand and attrition.
Develop a controlling system for floor stock management, small tools inventory management, OPEX expenses, attrition, and replenish system.
Coordinate with the material team, MRO team, production team, and engineering team for replenish points and replenish quantities; manage the master list of floor stock and small tools; update the master list to ensure sufficient floor stock and small tools continue supply to the production floor.
Communicate with other departments within the organization and suppliers regarding production needs and deadlines.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust production accordingly to avoid inaccuracies in inventory levels (floor stock and small tools) to prevent line down situations.
Interpret and implement company policies regarding production scheduling to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Review production schedules and labor forecasts to determine whether additional staff will be required during certain times of the year.
Create and maintain records of materials used during production to ensure efficient use of resources and to identify waste or loss.
Coordinate the purchase of raw materials for products from suppliers based on inventory levels, price fluctuations, and other factors.
Coordinate with supplier companies to arrange for the delivery of floor stock and small tools supply to the production floor.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
Diploma with more than 10 years of experience in managing production floor inventory and production management.
20 years of experience with hands-on proven managing production floor inventory and production management.
Experience Requirement:
Preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP System such as SAP & PLM System such as Enovia/Agile.
Knowledge of MRP systems will be advantageous.
Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Prior experience in leading a team preferred.
