Position
As a Materials Planner, you will oversee the end-to-end management of material forecasting, inventory control, and supplier coordination to ensure efficient operations.
Collaborating closely with logistics, purchasing, and engineering teams, your role is critical in optimizing supply chain efficiency and maintaining balanced inventory levels.
You will also ensure compliance with company standards and promote continuous improvement in materials management processes.
Responsibilities
Regularly review and update material forecasts based on input from business units (BU) and actual sales data.
Maintain and monitor SAP data, including material master data, material requirements planning (MRP), and forecasts.
Develop production plans, create purchase and production orders, and track supplier deliveries.
Manage inventory levels, review safety stock requirements, and address slow-moving and end-of-production (EOP) materials.
Collaborate with order administration, strategic purchasing, and engineering teams to align on material needs and process improvements.
Ensure supplier invoices are processed accurately and submitted to finance in a timely manner.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in materials planning or management, especially in roles requiring independent work without backup support.
Proficient in production planning and inventory control.
Strong English communication skills, with experience in reporting and presenting data.
Familiarity with SAP and MS Office is essential.
Experience managing high-mix, low-volume materials (e.g., electronics, specialized power tools) is advantageous.
Open-minded with a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and attention to detail.
Actively contribute to the development of new processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Support cross-functional teams in identifying areas for improvement in material management systems.
Utilize data-driven insights to recommend adjustments to forecasting, inventory control, and supplier relations.
