Candidates must have expertise in teaching secondary school mathematics and primary school english and be comfortable working with students from age 4 to 15.
In addition to teaching, the role includes administrative responsibilities related to the operation of the learning center.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with the learning center's curriculum.Provide individualized learning plan in secondary school mathematics.Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to ensure learning objectives are met.Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.Foster a safe and engaging environment that encourages student participation and growth.Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and address any concerns.Consult with parents regarding their child's progress and offer strategies for improvement.Meet with new parents to understand their children's needs and provide an overview of the center's services.Conduct diagnostic tests for new students to assess their learning level and develop personalized learning plans.Support new enrollments, including introducing new students to the center's programs and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.Stay updated on educational trends and best practices to continually improve teaching strategies.Participate in center events and promotional roadshows, including on off-days, to support the growth and community engagement of the learning centers.Perform administrative tasks such as:
Marking student books and test assessments.Ordering educational materials, including books and supplies.Conducting regular stock checks to ensure sufficient supplies are available for lessons.Assisting with general administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the center. Qualification A-Level, O-Level, Diploma, Degree or equivalent.Candidate must be able to tutor Mathematics (secondary school) and English (primary school)Good command of the English language.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Strong knowledge of secondary school mathematics curriculum and teaching methodologies.Ability to motivate and inspire students.Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed.Willingness to participate in events, roadshows, and parental consultations as part of the center's outreach efforts. Working Hours Monday - Off day Tuesday - Off day Wednesdays - 12:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. (Bandar Baru Ampang, near Maybank) Thursday- 12:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. (Bandar Sri Permaisuri, near Q Bistro) Friday- 12:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. (Pandan Indah, opposite Police Station) Saturday - 9:30a.m. to 6:30p.m. (Bandar Sri Permaisuri) Sunday - 9:30a.m. to 6:30p.m. (Pandan Indah) We are operating 3 learning centres in Amapng and Cheras areas. All our centres are located about 10 minutes walking distance from a LRT station.
