Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) CoordinatorIn this position, you will be overseeing and coordinating all M&E installation activities.
Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, proposing solutions for site challenges, and ensuring the efficiency and quality of workforce performance.
The role involves close collaboration with subcontractors, maintaining records, and implementing safety and cleanliness measures on site.
CURRENT PROPOSED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate all M&E activities that are carried out at the construction site.
Ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and local regulations.
Monitor and manage sub-contractors, ensuring their compliance with project timelines and quality requirements.
Conduct regular inspection to ensure the proper installation, functioning and maintenance of M&E system.
Preparation of work progress report and other relevant reports for the projects.
Troubleshoot, tackle & propose solution to solve site problems.
Plan, monitor & control procurement, materials delivery & progress of work.
Verify/quantities M&E Installation Services (Shop/As-built Drawing).
Ensure sufficiency, efficiency & quality of workforce.
Attend site meetings to ensure the project is within programme and submit overall progress reports to the Project Manager.
Understand contract requirements and M&E specifications to monitor progress, quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements/construction schedule.
Liaise with design consultants on the design intent.
Coordinate with in-house architectural & structural team to minimize discrepancies.
Check and prepare material sample with shop drawing submission.
Chair M&E coordination meeting.
Prepare M&E coordination drawings and liaise with Architectural Coordinators and Design Engineers for drawing issuance.
Assess, prepare, and submit progress claims for project consultants & subcontractors.
Coordinate and assist site superintendent on installation and maintenance of site temporary utilities services.
Adhere to safety practices in the workplace.
Monitor progress of work to comply with Work Schedule & client's requirement.
Maintain & update on M&E drawing list/details for construction.
Co-ordinate & supervise own/sub-contractors' workforce.
Troubleshoot & tackle site problems.
Maintain proper records of all investigation materials.
Review, implement and monitor short term schedules (weekly).
Prepare all the relevant inspection forms.
Arrange for the required QC tests.
Understand contract requirement and M&E specification.
Understand BIM concept and be able to supervise BIM consultant/BIM Operator/ Technician's daily job scope.
Perform any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned by the Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years' experience in construction works.
Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software.
