The Role The Mechanical Engineer will actively contribute to good development of our client in Malaysia by using all his skills from prospection stage till the delivery of the equipment with the ultimate objective to bring full satisfaction to our clients
This role reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer Malaysia and works closely with the Design Office Assistant Manager and the Mechanical Engineers.
He/she is actively contributing to the good relationships with local partners (suppliers and clients).
Key Responsibilities: The mechanical Engineer carries out mechanical studies of projects he/she is in charge (3D design, drawings, Ex files, bills of material, etc.) in accordance with well-defined objectives (quality, budget, schedule)
Provides support to the electricity, Ex, purchasing and manufacturing departmentsIn charge of the creation of the technical documentation for the projects Detailed responsibilities (non-exhaustive list): Carry out pre-sizingCarry out the 3D CAD design and the fabrication documentation (drawings, bill of material, assembly process, FAT checklist)Participate in design review and risk analyses (Machine Directive) and other technical meetingsCarry out the production of technical documentationEstimate the time required for the studies he/she is in chargeWrite technical specifications for suppliersProvide technical monitoring of suppliersReport the progress of his missions, alert in advance is there are any identified technical deviationsProvide a support to the documentation team based in France (documentation exchange, comments review, updating documentation progress table)Provide a support to the production team in the assembly / disassembly of the equipmentAs part of his missions, he/she may be requested to travel in France and other countries for short periods Profile required: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent major with minimum 2 years of related experienceAdvanced level in mechanics, knowledge of materials used in an industrial environment and assembly processes, material resistance and calculation methodsAdvanced level in design software (SolidWorks)Good knowledge in technical documentation productionAbility to estimate design lead-time and production costsKnowledge in the lifting and handling sector and Oil & Gas industryFluent in English (verbal and written)ATEX Level 2 and/or IECEX certification is a plusGood level in French is a plusOpen-minded, able to work in an international environmentMethodical, Logic and critical thinking
