Description
Analyzes inspection and First Article data.
Provides feedback on quality performance and desired improvement areas to R&D / Product / Process Engineers or suppliers to achieve ongoing quality improvement.
Follows up with suppliers on recurring quality problems to ensure corrective actions are taken.
Assists manufacturing to ascertain the impact of using non-conforming piece-parts and perform disposition of non-conforming parts.
Participates in the local sourcing program aimed at helping define adequate specifications and drawings for supplier review.
Identifies and plans for inspection and test requirements needed to adequately assess the quality of incoming piece-parts.
Evaluates substitute/alternate materials together with Product Engineers to achieve cost savings on piece-parts and/or improve product quality.
Establishes an adequate evaluation and inspection system to monitor and assure incoming materials quality.
Facilitates communication and provides quality feedback to suppliers to resolve recurring piece-part quality problems, aiming for long-term quality improvement and assurance of supply.
Investigates the use of substitute/alternate materials to achieve cost savings.
Provides technical support for NPI (New Product Introduction) & Product Transfer.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials Engineering Sciences, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years related experience.
Good communication skills and the ability to work with all levels.
Resourcefulness, attention to detail, sound analysis skills, and the ability to offer solutions.
Fresh graduates can be considered.
