Key Job Responsibilities: •Managing lab equipment.
•Ensuring scheduled preventive maintenance, calibrations & quality control checks completed as scheduled & compliance with safety standards are met.
•Maintaining equipment inventory master lists , records & service reports.
•Liaising with vendors and perform interdepartmental coordination to facilitate:
A) Delivery , installation & commissioning of newly purchased lab equipment
B) Expedient repairs of lab equipment that encounter breakdowns.
C) Disposal of obsolete or malfunctioning lab items.
•Conduct hospital wide POCT QC inspections & Lab Safety Equipment inspections.
•Assist with investigations into any non-compliances discovered, by identifying root causes & implementing necessary corrective & preventive measures.
•Plan & conduct training programs & competency assessments for staff in relevant safety & technical topics.
•Plan & implement or participate in Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs).
•Maintain & update quality documents & records & carry out internal audits to comply to all hospital and lab quality programs & accreditation standards ( JCI, MSQH, MS ISO 15189, ACHS, Malaysian & JCI Patient Safety Goals).
•Coordinate Medical Laboratory Committee meetings by scheduling, planning & minuting the meetings.
Job Requirements: Education / Professional Qualification
•Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a relevant Science degree.
•Minimum 3 years working experience in a Clinical Laboratory.
•Possess good technical & operational knowledge & skill of the various disciplines in Medical Lab Technology.
•Possess good verbal & written communication skills.
•Has experience with Quality Management Systems & Quality Improvement Systems.
•Detail-oriented, enthusiastic & self-motivated with good interpersonal & customer service skills.
•IT literate, good with Microsoft Office Apps & familiar with LIS.
•Positive thinker with good time management skills and able to meet deadlines.
