Merchandising Executive/ Buyer

Job Type:Full time
Responsibilities:
Sourcing and buying of new related products to maximize sales and maintain optimal inventory.
Liaise with suppliers on promotional activities and prompt delivery of stocks.
Negotiate with vendors regarding terms, conditions and margins to create competitive edge.
Analyze performance of stock and promotions to determine effectiveness of the product assortment and promotion strategy to drive market share.
Work closely with Sales & Marketing Department, assist to plan promotional activities merchandise according to line master plans.
Work closely with the stores and vendors on all replenishment activities, product range, promotions mechanics, pricing, and aging stocks.
Conduct market survey & visit competitors constantly for current market trend analysis and customer preferences.
Assist in the setting up of new stores and major fairs/events.
What makes you an ideal candidate:
SPM graduates with 2 years working experience / Diploma Holder / Degree holder in any discipline.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English,Chinese as an added advantage.
Self-motivated, a team player with a positive working attitude.
Keen interest in retail and enjoy meeting people.
Able to work in fast-paced environment & within tight timelines when required.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferably candidates with own transport for travelling.
