This position involves monitoring network and server performance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of end-user computing devices.This role requires a 12-hour shift rotation to maintain 24/7 coverage.What you'll be doingKey Responsibilities:The MS Engineer L1 is a critical role responsible for providing comprehensive first-level technical support to our end users.
This position involves monitoring network and server performance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of end-user computing devices.This role requires a 12-hour shift rotation to maintain 24/7 coverage.Knowledge and Attributes:Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues to end users.Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user computing devices and software.Provide support to end users on various IT systems and applications.Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.Monitor and manage alerts for network and server performance, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.Coordinate troubleshooting procedures with customers, system/network vendors, and network carriers.Receive and execute Service/Change Requests as per company and/or customer defined rules and procedures.Document and track all support requests and incidents in the company's ticketing system.Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, services, and IT infrastructure.Recommend procedure modifications or improvements to streamline support processes.Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support the IT department.Academic Qualifications and Certifications (Advantages):Degree holderProficiency in end user computing and a good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech productsExperience in helpdesk or Service Desk environment.Familiarity with network and server monitoring tools and techniques.Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+).Working experience in IT system or Technical Support or understands procedure and process flow in a helpdesk environment.Required Experience:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Flexible to work in shift patterns as required by the company, which may include 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, and could encompass day, night, or customized working hours.Japanese Candidates:Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) - N2 level minimum -or-Business Japanese Language Proficiency Test (BJT) – Level 3 minimum.Workplace type: Hybrid WorkingAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
