Overview of ProfileReporting to a Principal or Lead Engineer or an Engineering Manager as appropriate; a Senior Engineer provides engineering and technical expertise to the project team, supporting more senior engineers or managers.The Senior Engineer will produce detailed Installation Engineering Procedure or Document to deliver project work, managing aspects of the team as agreed with the Management team.Work may include supporting studies and tenders as well as live projects.
Senior Engineers may be technical specialists within a specific discipline and support the knowledge management and technology initiatives relating to the discipline.
Work may be carried out onshore or offshore, depending upon the particular discipline in question Responsibilities: Involved in the conceptual and detail Offshore Installation Engineering studiesEnsure full traceability of the technical development of the assigned scope throughout the life of the projectSupport Lead Engineer for external and internal interfaces (external: Clients, Subcontractors; Internal: other Disciplines, i.e.
Operation, Analysis, Designer, HSE, SCM)Working with Analytical and/ or Structure Team in designing of installation aids and other equipment required for use offshore/ onshore to support installation activitiesContribute to the subcontractors selectionProvides support to Offshore Installation Engineering Team during project operationParticipates actively to engineers training and developmentParticipates actively to the IPE Discipline/ department know-how consolidationProposes safe and innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reductionUnderstand Supply Chain Management processes, key SCM commodity strategies, and project risk assessment/ mitigation processesOperate within standardised engineering policies, processes and systems of the Business Management System (BMS)Ensure that specifications and scopes of work within the assigned Project scope have been reviewed and agreed by the relevant centres of competence and that all quality issues are captured in the relevant Quality Control Plan Qualifications Ability to work independently within an installation engineering projects.Ability to prioritise own and others' workload, manage time and change control accordingly.Ability to participate on the interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, client and suppliers.Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints.Ability to guide and Mentor graduates and junior engineers.Good verbal and written EnglishBachelor Degree or Master in relevant engineering disciplineMinimum more than 8 years working experience in oil and gas industry relevant to offshore installationAble to travel to either onshore or offshore sites when required OUR OFFERWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
