Description Primary Objective: • Conduct independent post approval review of the Group's credits to provide an independent judgement on the quality of credit appraisal.• Discuss credit review findings, and recommend corrective actions for all noted deficiencies.Key Responsibilities: • Undertake independent credit review of credits to provide an independent view of quality of credit appraisal including credit risk & assessment, level of risk, appropriateness of credit risk rating assigned, whether pricing commensurate with the underlying risk, compliance with established internal policies and procedures, lending practices and statutory or regulatory guidelines.• Prepare working papers to ensure all relevant risk areas are covered in the credit review assignments and issues raised are appropriate, logical and valid.• Highlight weaknesses in credit assessment / non-compliances, discuss review findings with SBG/SFG and obtain responses, provide recommendations / suggestions for improvement / corrective actions.• Ensure timely completion of the reviews, submit and report review findings to Section Head, Post Approval Credit Review.• Follow up on all unresolved findings until resolution.• Provide input to Section Head, Post Approval Credit Review and above for the development of policies and guidelines, including audit programmes• Attend to BNM's inquiries and requisitions Requirements Requirements: Bachelor Degree - Any related field(s).• Minimum of 8 years experience in corporate/commercial/retail credit evaluation and/or credit processing.• Professional qualification in Accountancy or tertiary education in Finance, Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy or equivalent is necessary.
PCC accreditation is an advantage.• Good knowledge of BNM guidelines and relevant statutory regulations.• Good numerical, analytical, and report writing skills.• Independent, resourceful and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.• Able to work under pressure and meet timeline.
