This company is a well-known rubber manufacturer who takes pride in delivering sustainable and great quality products to their clients.
Based in Klang, they are on the lookout for a Plant Engineering Manager with extensive knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and maintaining plant facilities and utilities equipment to oversee the whole plant and ensure that it is being well-maintained constantly.
Your new role:
Maintenance Management: Lead and manage corrective and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and operational efficiency.
Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and maintain data on equipment performance to establish a performance database and monitor deviations.
Performance Improvement: Identify root causes of performance issues and implement improvement actions to enhance equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
Preventive Maintenance: Plan and manage preventive, predictive, and condition-based inspections to reduce breakdowns and improve reliability.
Documentation and Compliance: Develop and enforce Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and ensure adherence to internal controls, safety, and environmental regulations.
Staff Development: Attract, train, and retain qualified staff through effective training, succession planning, and performance feedback.
Project and Resource Management: Plan and manage maintenance projects, equipment fabrication, and spare parts inventory to ensure cost-effective and timely maintenance activities.
What you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
5-7 years of working experience in any managerial role within glove manufacturing.
Able to showcase excellent leadership and communication skills.
Has prior experience with hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of plant facilities and utilities equipment.
Strong people management skills.
