Aligning pharmacy care with the hospital's vision, mission, core values, and goals.Understanding the organization and structure of the pharmacy service.Attending relevant meetings to address operational issues.Supervising and approving poison purchase orders.Overseeing all pharmacy operations, including dispensing, sales, and medication supply.Conducting in-service training for healthcare staff and providing counseling on prescription drug use.Assessing staff educational needs and administering exams to enhance pharmacy staff skills.Ensuring proper handling, storage, and issuing of Dangerous and Psychotropic Drugs in compliance with laws and policies.Managing the issuance of Psychotropic Drugs to nursing units.Maintaining accurate records of Psychotropic and Dangerous Drugs and securing them.Screening prescriptions for accuracy before dispensing.Reviewing medication appropriateness and performing medication reconciliation when needed.Checking and endorsing inpatient, outpatient, and TTA (To Take Away) prescriptions.
