Process Development Engineer (Eol : Optical Element)

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise. Support New Product Introductions by delivering assigned process (Die/Optical Element attach) and equipment solutions meeting or exceeding Quality and timeline targets. Cost savings targets be met through new supplier or new process introduction. To contribute to effective resolution of chronic issues through innovative or out-of-box solutions. To provide active support and technical inputs in team based problem solving efforts.(eg Focus Team, DMAIC team, project team). To ensure self development to continually upgrading overall performance by maintaining organizational knowledge through design guideline, design rules, supplier capability, knowledge management system actively participating in internal and external knowledge sharing (Technical symposium, trade shows, etc).
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Electromechanical), Engineering (Metallurgy/ Material Science), Physics or equivalent. At least 2 years of related working experience in semiconductor industry with optical element, casting or dispensing process knowledge. Strong analytical skill, systematic problem-solving approach skill, statistical knowledge, very careful and detailed-oriented personality. Good report-writing and data analysis skills are required. An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Knowledge in Semiconductor Technology and LED Application knowledge is an advantage. Knowledge in DOE and Statistic, Equipment, Cost and Budgeting, Quality Tools, Process Knowledge, Lean Six Sigma, etc.
